Manchester Probation Service have recently undertaken some maintenance of the club's grounds. Below is a copy of the email that was sent to thank them for their efforts.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave Bowyer, Roland, Jim and the rest of the team from Community Payback for the fantastic work undertaken at Lostock Tennis Club – Lostock.

On behalf of Jack Lowe and the committee of Lostock Tennis Club,

I understand that there is one day’s work yet to do. However, already the grounds and clubhouse look really neat and tidy.

Credit where credit is due, the team have conducted themselves in a friendly manner at all times, and the quality of the work has not gone unnoticed by the members of the club, and I feel its only right to convey our thanks.

It’s easy in today’s society to sneer at some people’s unfortunate situation, and too many people do that, without understanding the reasons why some people fall in to trouble. However, I also think it’s important to acknowledge the good in people and their intention to better themselves.

Thank you again, and I wish you all the very best for the future. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated.
