Court maintenance

posted 1 Jun 2012, 13:09 by Paul Cashmore

In order to maintain the longevity of all the courts at LTC, please can I ask that you all assist the club, and do your bit, by dragging the courts from time to time, and then binning the collected detritus.  There is now a drag net at the end of courts ONE AND FIVE.

This is extremely important going forward. We need as many members as possible helping to do this, and we need to get everyone in to the mind set of continued maintenance if we are to extend the life of the courts. If you see any detritus and rubbish around the courts please pick it up.

Please also, wherever possible, adhere to the instruction on the gates that state the court order of play 5, 4, 1, 2, 3.

For further information. As a committee, we are planning a rejuvenation of the courts, we are currently awaiting final competitive quotations and timescales from companies we have identified. Once these have been collated, a decision will be made and the courts will be given over to the appropriate company to work on them. I ask for all your understanding and patience when this happens, as some of the courts will be unavailable for a short period of time during this work.

Thank you in anticipation.
